As I said earlier in this thread, a handful of kids on my street will be playing this game right now and none of them are looking for what I am looking for in the game.

Respectfully, I don't think its a maybe.

There would be an engrossing Franchise mode. There would be a robust Coach mode. Thats what competition does. Whatever a competitors weakness is, their opponent attacks it.

This game just isn't what I'm looking for. I don't care about online. I won't play MUT in its current form. I don't fault EA for having that as their focus. Obviously its working for them.

The NFL is missing a golden opportunity, and sadly for us, they don't seem to care.

His videos actually don’t attract nearly the number of viewers that some of the more positive YouTubers like rayweather do. I guarantee you Moody still has a day job, and if not he is on some form of government assistance. No way he is a full time YouTuber averaging less than 20,000 views per video with only around 100k subscribers.

I agree, the NFL is pass heavy as anything right now. I don't see a huge issue with the run/pass ratio.

For the sake of chiming in with a slightly different angled perspective:

The thought arises from time to time in me, that if we ever did have a true simulation experience, would that be a threat to the fanbase turning away from the real games? I was born in the 70's, so just know that this idea pops in my head because in the late 80's, there were actual news pieces on the rise of electronic gaming taking away from live experiences - where will the future results land? So, I still sometimes wonder if game companies and/or IP origin companies work this way. When the NFL won't allow injuries of certain kinds or whatever (seemingly trivial to us) details in the "exclusive" licensed video games representing their namesake - it just makes said thoughts not so far-fetched.

According to this, the run/pass ratios are still about 40/60 with the median being about 45/55%.

This is from 2023.

I would still say that the run/pass ratios in the game do not match this chart one bit.

I'll add this. NFL teams probably aren;t passing enough in real life. They should be passing more. The computer AI may just be saying, Look *******es, passing is way more effective and efficient, why shoud I bother running the ball?

Even with proof, it's funny that there are some that "don't see an issue" with the run/pass ratio.

When this issue was made apparent, the same excuses were used and are still being used...the "NFL is a passing league now", and while that is true to some extent, in the actual NFL the offenses are nowhere near close to that of Madden.

Going back in time, the heavily used "K-Gun" in Buffalo or the "Run-n-Shoot" in Houston which were obviously pass heavy offenses STILL never came close to what Maddens run/pass ratio has been.

The run/pass ration issue has been in Madden since late last year, and STILL remains even though it was pointed out during the beta for M25 AND noted on their forums as well.

There is a reason why so many folks are looking for and trying different "fixes" for an issue that IS a problem.
