As part of Alpha Kappa Psi Gamma Chi’s efforts to strengthen the chapters diversity, equity, and inclusion, we hosted our semi annual DEI Panel Discussion to provide perspective to our current and prospective brothers in hopes to enable those in and outside AKPsi to join the conversation on DEI through a discussion facilitated by people with lived experiences and insights that relate. The panel aimed to represent a diverse set of perspectives. Thank you to our panelists Darryl Rice, PhD, J Ravancho, @Nazar Abbas, Tekeia N. K. Howard and CJ Szaz for providing unique perspective and sharing your lived experience. We were so happy to see so many new and familiar faces eager to gain insight and new perspectives. What a semester for the AKPsi Gamma Chi Chapter...Spring Recruitment was a success, with our chapter proudly inducting the Spring '23 Pledge Class! During their pledge process, our newest brothers gained valuable experience presenting real solutions to representatives of the non-profit organization Oak Tree Corner as well as Bain & Company. We are so excited to see what they can accomplish during their time in the chapter!This semester's Service Retreat was also a success! Our brothers volunteered at Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, an organization serving the greater Cincinnati area, where they helped to wrap a record-breaking 18,725 diapers in one day!Finally, this semester's Brotherhood Retreat was one to remember. Our brothers enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Hocking Hills State Park, making memories with their brothers that are sure to last a lifetime!We can't wait to see what the fall has in store for our chapter and we hope to see anyone interested in AKPsi at our Fall Recruitment! #RushAKPsi

As we head back to class, we want to recognize our brothers' hard work this summer. Our chapter was involved in a variety of internships at different companies around the globe. We are so proud of the professionalism displayed by our members and are excited to be back together on campus. Two of our brothers, CJ Szaz and Ross Nixon, had the opportunity to represent Miami University as delegates at the AKPsi National Convention this past week. They were able to meet brothers from over 120+ chapters and four different countries. When asked about their experience they said “the convention provided us with new friends, memories, and insights on how to benefit our chapter back at home!” #opportunity #experience #muakpsi #brotherhood

Today our pledges competed in a case competition to mark the near end of their pledge process and showcase the amazing work they have accomplished over the past 8 weeks.A huge thanks to The Dragonfly Foundation for allowing us to work with such an amazing organization and for traveling to Miami’s campus for the presentations this morning. We would also like to thank our alumni Marc Davis and Grant Stierwalt from Bain & Company for pairing with us throughout this process and being here to help judge the competition!
